William Charles "Charlie" Hale

William Charles "Charlie" Hale, 61, passed away October 10, 2014 at his residence. Mr. Hale was born in McDowell County, WV on January 27, 1953 to Mary Lester Hale and the late Elbert Hale. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Roger and Denny Hale. He attended Catawba Freewill Baptist Church in Mt. Holly and was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying camping, fishing and hunting.

Survivors include his loving wife of 43 years, Leda Hale. Mother, Mary Lester Hale of West Virginia. Children, Cheryl Hensley (C.A.) of Mt. Holly, Lisa Busser (Brian) of Concord and Benjamin Hale (Nina) of Stanley. Brothers, Barry, Eugene, Timmy, Gary and Randy Hale and 5 grandchildren, Tyler, Jordan, Drew, Scott and Savannah.

Memorial Services to celebrate Mr. Hale's life will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday October 14 at Benson Funeral Chapel with Rev. James Messer officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 7:00-9:00 PM, also at the funeral home. Inurnment will be private.
