William "Buddy" Franklin Long

William "Buddy" Franklin Long, 82, of Gastonia passed away July 31, 2019 at the Robin Johnson Hospice House in Dallas.  He was born on October 27, 1936 to the late William and Mable Featherston Long.  Buddy was a long time Painting Contractor.  He had a love for all of Elvis' music but most of all he had a special love for his family. 

Buddy is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Margie Long; sons, James Long and wife Melissa and Rodney Long and wife Margo; sisters, Lela DiBruno and Mary Reese; 9 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, August 3, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Evergreen Cemetery in Belmont with Rev. Mike Whisnant officiating.
