William "Bill" Monroe Galloway, Sr.

William “Bill” Galloway, Sr., age 76, passed away on Wednesday August 1, 2018 at the Brian Center Nursing in Gastonia. Mr. Galloway was born in Rosman, NC on June 21, 1942 to the late Vess Galloway and Margaret Aiken Galloway. He is also preceded in death by siblings, Mildred Morgan, Shirley Masters, Virginia Pennington, Susie Pressley, and Randolph Galloway.  Bill was a longtime member of Mt. Holly Church of God.  He enjoyed visiting the mountains, searching for Gemstones , fishing and hunting, woodworking, and gardening.

Bill is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Barbara Ward Galloway; daughter, Teresa Daniels and husband Glenn, sons, Bill Galloway, Jr., David Galloway, and Jeff Galloway; stepson, David Vaughn and wife Robin; sisters, Helen Pressley and Betty Jean Lance; brother, Bud Galloway and wife Faye; 11 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren.

Funeral Services to celebrate Bill’s life will be at 3:00 PM Friday Aug. 3, 2018 at Mt. Holly Church of God with Pastor Dennis Bean officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at 11:00 AM Saturday Aug. 4, 2018 at Hillcrest Gardens in Mt. Holly.
