Wanda Gay Rudisill

Wanda Gay Rudisill, 77, of Monroe, passed away on Friday, November 16, 2018 at Asbury Health and Rehabilitation, Charlotte. She was born in Lincoln County on November 26, 1938, the daughter of the late Gathier Lawing and Irene Ballard Lawing. Wanda was a lifelong member of Christ United Methodist Church and enjoyed the mountains, antiquing, gardening, shopping, and loved her grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Dan Lawing. Wanda is survived by her son, Greg Rudisill and his partner in life, Debbie Shoemaker; daughter and son-in-law, Lea and Chuck Simmons; sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Steve Sherrill, and grandchildren, Mac, Sarah, and Gage.

A Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 20, 2018, 11:00 A.M. at Benson Funeral & Cremation Services, 101 Oak Grove Street, Mount Holly, NC 28120, with Rev. Jim Humphries officiating.
