Tina (Ferlazzo) Ziolkowski, 65, passed away peacefully at home in Mount Holly, NC on July 4, 2024 following a courageous 4-year battle with breast cancer. Her family was lovingly by her side. Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late James and Betty (DeGeorge) Ferlazzo. She grew up in a lively home where “family wasn’t an important thing; it was everything”. Tina carried that motto throughout her life, always putting her family first. Tina graduated from Albright College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Management, and Marketing. She earned a MBA in Business Administration from Saint Joseph’s University. Tina had a passion for helping people, and that translated into her career in healthcare. She last worked for Tower Health as the Associate Vice President of Operations of Women’s Healthcare Services, retiring in 2023. Tina was happily married for 14 years to the late Michael Ziolkowski who passed away in 2000 following a battle with colon cancer. They shared twin daughters, Stephanie and Angela, who have been Tina’s greatest source of pride and joy. Tina remarried Scott Wickel in 2017; he has been a devoted husband, standing by her side through her battle with cancer. Tina enjoyed spending time with her family, reading, volunteering, a good glass of wine, and shopping with her daughters. Tina loved to travel and learn about other cultures, exploring many different countries with her husband and daughters. Some of her favorite places to visit included Italy, Spain, France, and England.
Tina is survived by her husband, Scott Wickel; two daughters, Stephanie, wife of Anthony Warfied and Angela, wife of Jake Lindsey; and stepson, Ryan Wickel. She was also pre-deceased by her stepson, Andrew Wickel.
