Teresa Westbrook Vandiver

Teresa Westbrook Vandiver, born on March 27, 1957, in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, passed away on November 5, 2024 at the age of 67. Teresa was the beloved daughter of the late Louis and Jenny Westbrook.

Throughout her life, Teresa dedicated herself to her family as a devoted homemaker. Her nurturing spirit and unwavering support were foundational to her role as a mother. She is survived by her children, Jamie Campbell (Coley), James Springs (Rachel), Jennifer Springs, and Adam Vandiver (Lyndsay), and she took great joy in her role as a grandmother to Caleb, Reagan, Morgan, Grayson, and Ryleigh.

In addition to her family, Teresa is survived by her brother, Barry Westbrook (Vicki), and a special friend, Joan Shields, both of whom held significant places in her heart and her life.

Teresa had a vibrant array of interests that reflected her passion for both sports and leisure. She was an avid fan of Duke Basketball, college football, pro football, and particularly the Carolina Panthers. In her downtime, Teresa enjoyed reading and watching Hallmark movies, which brought her immense joy. She also cherished the fall season and the beauty of the mountains, finding peace and solace in nature.

In addition to her parents, Teresa was preceded in death by her husband, Tommie Vandiver. She leaves behind a legacy of love, warmth, and dedication that will be cherished by all who knew her.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at The Point Church, 6700 Wilkinson Blvd., Belmont, NC 28012 with Pastor Ray Hardee officiating.
