Teresa Ruby Rauch, age 63, was born on March 24, 1961, in Gaston County to the late Arey Morton and Ruby Simonds Morton. She passed away on May 11, 2024 at Caromont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia.
Teresa was a remarkable woman who found joy in the pleasures of life. She had a deep love for the mountains and the beach, finding peace and solace in nature's beauty. Tending to her flower gardens brought her immense happiness, and she poured her love and care into every blossom that bloomed under her watchful eye. Teresa's culinary skills were unparalleled, with her specialty being a comforting dish of chicken and rice that never failed to bring smiles to the faces of all who tasted it.
Above all else, Teresa cherished spending time with her great grandson, Elijah. The light of her life, Elijah brought boundless joy and laughter into Teresa's world, creating unforgettable memories that she held dear to her heart.
Teresa's unwavering faith was evident to all who knew her. She found comfort in the teachings of the Lord and took solace in reading her Bible regularly. Her steadfast belief was a guiding light throughout her life, providing her with strength and hope during both joyful and challenging times.
Teresa is survived by her loving daughters, Melissa Lewis and Hannah Lewis; devoted son-in-law Mike Lewis; one brother; beloved granddaughter, Halie Lewis; and her cherished great grandson, Elijah Lewis. Though Teresa may no longer walk among us, her memory will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
