Shirley Mae Stevens

Shirley Renegar Stevens, 80, of Stanley passed away June 5, 2018 at Caromont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia.  She was born on November 24, 1937 to the late Fred and Irene Dalton Renegar.  She was a member of Amazing Grace Baptist Church in Stanley.  She loved the Lord and her church family.  She was also an animal lover and enjoyed the beach and reading in her spare time.  She will be dearly missed by all who loved and knew her.

Shirley is survived by her children, Sheba Harris and husband Doug, Freddie Thomas and husband Herbert, and Barry Cheek and wife DeeDee; and 5 grandchildren.

A Memorial service to celebrate Shirley's life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 10, 2018 at Amazing Grace Baptist Church, 7280 Sifford Rd, Stanley, NC 28164, with Pastors Mike Pittman and Barry Cheek officiating.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.  Inurnment burial will follow immediately after the service in the church cemetery.
