Shannon DeLaine Beatty

Shannon Smith Beatty, 43, of Lincolnton passed away April 21, 2018 at CMC Lincoln.  She was born in Mecklenburg County on June 1, 1974 to Tony and Gail Hardee Smith.  She is preceded in death by her Paternal Grandfather, Raymond E. Smith and Maternal Grandparents, John F. Hardee and Ailene Hardee.  Shannon loved going to the beach.  She also enjoyed fishing and loved her dogs.  She enjoyed working with the Children's Ministry at her church, Denver United Methodist. She loved her family very much, especially her grandson, Thomas.

In addition to her parents, Shannon is survived by her loving husband of 22 years, John Beatty; daughter, Kaila Johnson and husband Tyler; son, Jordan Beatty; brother, Nicholas Smith and wife Debra; grandmother, Peggy Smith; niece, Clara; grandson, Thomas; and pets, Lucy and Zack.

Funeral services to celebrate Shannon's life will be Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at Denver United Methodist Church with Revs. Wade Childers and Tim Killian officiating.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.  Interment will follow immediately after the service also at the church.
