Ryan Christopher Rodd

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing into the Kingdom of our Lord and Savior Ryan Christopher Rodd, a beloved member of our community, on September 15, 2023. Ryan was born on November 14, 1987, in Willimantic, CT, to his loving parents Mary Ann Rodd and Ronald Rodd. Ryan lived a life full of adventure and passion. He seized every opportunity to embrace life's wonders and pursued his dreams with unwavering determination. His thirst for knowledge led him to earn a Bachelor's degree from UNC Greensboro. One of Ryan's greatest accomplishments was serving as a firefighter for the Bureau of Land Management in Northern California. His brave dedication to protecting others in times of danger will forever be remembered. In addition to his professional pursuits, Ryan had many hobbies that brought him joy and fulfillment. He had an exceptional talent for disc golf and took great pleasure in perfecting his skills. Furthermore, he was a self-made master baseball bat maker who crafted hundreds of flawless wooden bats. Baseball held a special place in his heart, which led him to work for the Arizona Diamondbacks - while maintaining unwavering loyalty to his beloved New York Mets. Ryan will be deeply missed by all those who had the privilege of knowing him. His infectious spirit and kind-hearted nature touched the lives of many. He leaves behind cherished memories that will forever be held close by his family and friends. Ryan is survived by his proud father Ronald Rodd and stepmother Judith Rodd, as well as his loving mother Mary Ann Rodd. He also leaves behind his best friend and brother Scott Rodd and half-brother Connor Ciment. The family will hold private services to honor Ryan's remarkable life. In this time of sadness, let us remember the beautiful legacy Ryan has left behind. May his spirit guide us, and may we cherish the memories we shared with him forever.
