Ruth J. Cook

Ruth J. Cook, 79, of Shelby, passed away January 2, 2015 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Cook was born November 30, 1935 to the late Ervin and Bertha Stroupe Ellison. She was also preceded by 2 brothers and 1 sister.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday January 6 at 2:00 PM with Rev. George Hurley officiating at Mountain Rest Cemetery in Kings Mountain.

Survivors include her loving husband of 60 years, Russell "Gene" Cook. Daughters, Audrey Ruth Pheagin (Ed) and Sherria Jean Cook. 4 sisters, 3 brothers and 5 grandchildren, Amanda, Katie, Robbie, Janie and Selena and also 8 great grandchildren.
