Rose "Marie" Cartee

Rose "Marie" Cartee, 53, of Gastonia passed away on January 13, 2023 at Caromont Regional Medical Center.  She was born on September 17, 1969 to Queen Elizabeth Hubbard Sukkert and the late Donald Albert Pressley.  She is also preceded in death by her son, Darron Pryor. In addition to her mother, survivors include her long time companion, Sam Hornsby; daughter, Hannah Marie Pryor; brothers, Bobby Dean Pressley and Kevin Dewayne Pressley; step brothers, James Sukkert and Eric Sukkert; grandson, Scott Bolin; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at 5:00 p.m. at Benson Funeral & Cremation Services, 101 Oak Grove St. Mt. Holly, NC 28120 with Rev. Jay Hibberts officiating.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 4:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
