With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Ronnie Ray Welch Sr., also known as "RayRay", a beloved husband, father, son, and friend. He was born on August 11, 1985, in Gaston County, where he spent his formative years surrounded by family and friends.
During his career at Custom Mills Cabinetry Inc., Ronnie's exceptional carpentry skills garnered admiration from all who had the privilege of working with him. He approached his craft with dedication and precision, leaving a lasting impact on those around him.
Outside of work, Ronnie found joy in the thrill of riding motorcycles. Whether he was out on the open or repairing bikes alongside his loved ones, his passion for motorcycles was truly contagious. His favorite moments were spent riding dirt bikes with his children, creating cherished memories that will be treasured forever.
Described as a family man through and through, Ronnie adored nothing more than spending quality time with his loved ones. Family vacations held a special place in his heart, where he relished every moment creating new adventures and unforgettable experiences. Those who knew him best will always remember Ronnie for his kind heart and unwavering generosity.
Ronnie is survived by his devoted wife of 30 years, Shelly Welch, his loving mother Diane Renee Weaver, father Larry Welch, and adored son Ronnie Ray Welch Jr. and daughter, Madison Dawn Welch. He is also survived by his brothers Chris Welch (Alicia Pressley), Chris Hill, and Thomas Flower. In addition to his immediate family, Ronnie will be dearly missed by his grandfather Bill Welch and his in-laws Jonathan and Kimberly Pressley. He also leaves behind a multitude of friends and biker companions who shared in his passion for motorcycles.
In honoring Ronnie Ray Welch Sr.'s life, let us remember his legacy of love, dedication, and enthusiasm for life. May his memory continue to inspire us as we celebrate the remarkable individual he was.
