Robin Frachey, a beloved soul known for her unwavering dedication to customer service and her compassionate involvement with various animal welfare organizations, has passed away. Born on January 24, 1959, in Urbana, Illinois to the late George Holt and his wife Lois, Robin's journey came to a peaceful conclusion on July 8, 2024 at the young age of 65, at Levine & Dickson Hospice House at Aldersgate in Charlotte, NC.
Throughout her life, Robin's heart beat with a deep passion for animals. Her career as a Customer Service Agent at American Airlines not only showcased her professionalism but also highlighted her commitment to causes close to her heart. She was actively engaged with the US Air Service Animals (Do Crew), the Guide Dog Foundation, and Americas VetDogs, embodying kindness and empathy in all she did.
In addition to her professional endeavors, Robin pursued education with diligence and earned an Associates degree in banking from Parkland College in Champaign, Illinois. Her thirst for knowledge was evident in all aspects of her life.
When not immersed in work or studies, Robin found solace in pursuits that brought her joy. An avid golfer, a travel enthusiast, a teddy bear collector, and a dedicated gardener who cherished tending to her blooming flowers – these were the facets of Robin's vibrant personality that will be remembered fondly by all who knew her.
As Robin's spirit takes flight into Heaven, she leaves behind cherished memories that will forever linger in the hearts of those who loved her dearly. She is survived by her sisters, Cheryl Thompson and husband Randol and Karen Holt-Castle and husband Craig. She also leaves behind her beloved 14 year old pet Chiweenie dog, Rosie who is described as Robin's faithful companion but stubborn and determined.
The services to honor and celebrate Robin's life will be held at The Pointe Church in Belmont, NC. A Visitation will take place on Saturday, July 13, 2024, starting at 1:00 PM followed by a Memorial Service at 2:00 PM. These gatherings will serve as poignant reflections of the love and light that Robin brought into the world.
