Richard Glenn Herring

Richard Glenn Herring, Sr., 67, of Kings Mountain, passed away January 10, 2013 at his residence. Mr. Herring was born January 3, 1947 in Gaston County to the late Woodrow and Annie Miller Herring. He was a past member of South Marietta Street Baptist Church and was also preceded in death by sons; James "Jimmy, Nickie and Dickie Herring and a brother Donnie Herring.

Survivors include his ex-wife and caregiver Martha Trull Herring and her fiance', Mark Calhoun. Children; Vickie Herring Teague, Richard "Ricky" Herring, Jr.(Angela), Mickey Herring (Vanda), and Holly Herring Bridges. One Brother Junior Herring and 10 grand and 6 great grandchildren and also nieces and nephews including his favorite niece Cheryl Herring.

Memorial Services will be held at 4:00 PM Friday January 17 at Benson Funeral Chapel in Mt. Holly. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will be private.
