Rachel Ballard-Stine

Rachel C. Ballard-Stine, 78, of Belmont, passed away on November 13, 2021.  She was born on March 15, 1943 to the late Ray and Florence Ford Carpenter.  She was also preceded in death by her brother, Cecil Carpenter and her sister, Judy Mauldin.  Rachel was a beach girl who loved her family, children, and grandchildren.  She enjoyed flowers and decorating homes.

Survivors include her husband, Butch Stine; children, Destry Ballard and wife Suzanne, Stacy Ballard, and Chad Ballard and wife Traci; sister, Joyce Carpenter; brother, John Carpenter and wife Shirley; 5 grandchildren, Savannah, Kennedy, Destry II, Matthew, and Noah.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Benson Funeral & Cremation Services, Mt. Holly with Pastor Ronnie Roseboro officiating.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.  Interment will immediately follow at Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery, Mt. Holly.
