Patsy Elizabeth Self

Patsy Elizabeth Self, 72, of Lowell, passed away on Sunday, September 30, 2018 at Robin Johnson House, Dallas, NC. She was born in Rutherford County on January 7, 1946 the daughter of the late Lucius Franklin Barnes and Hassie Emma Buchanan Barnes. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Eugene Self; Stepson, Ronald Dean Self, and three sisters. Patsy was a lifelong member of Belmont First Wesleyan Church and a member of the American Legion, Post 243, in Bessemer City. She was also a lifelong member of the American Textiles Chemist and Colorist and served as a clerk in the United States Army.

Patsy is survived by her daughter, Nichole Self; son, Jason Andrew Self; Stepsons, Michael Eugene Self and wife Becky, Joel David Self, and Terry Wayne Self; Twelve Grandchildren, and several Great Grandchildren; Special Grandchildren, Jessica and Lance Self; Special Great Granddaughter, Izabella Self; nephews, Jamie (Tina) and Allen (Annie) Horton; Special Daughter, Nancy Bailey; Special Feline Companion, Max.

A Memorial service to celebrate Patsy's life will be held Thursday, October 4, 2018 at 4:00 p.m at Benson Funeral & Cremation Services, Mt. Holly with Rev. Tony Helms officiating.   Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
