Michael James Ivester, Sr

Michael James Ivester, Sr. (Mike) of Davidson NC died Thursday May 18, 2017 at home with his family by his side. Mike was born in Waukegan Illinois October 9,1947 to the late John Francis and Marjorie (Carlson) Ivester. Mike was owner and operator of Dry-Tech Inc. He was an avid Hunter, Gardner, Outdoorsman and Carolina Tarheel Basketball fan. He loved to travel with his wife Margie and spend time on his farm in North Dakota. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who worked tirelessly to provide a loving home and strong foundation for his family and was a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church in Charlotte. Mike is survived by his loving wife Margie of 51 years. Children Cynthia Carter and husband Calvin, Michelle Ivester-Rhyne husband Chris, Michael Ivester Jr, and wife Meera. Grandchildren Darryl, Tyler, Grayson, Jack, Bella, Myles, Mikey. Brothers John Ivester, wife Susan, Steve Ivester wife Julie, Josh Ivester. Sisters Doris Hill husband David, Lori Jackson husband Reed, Jenna Lutz husband George and is preceded by his sister Mary Ann Drag and survived by her husband Robert and also numerous nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on June 3, 2017 at 12:00 at Grace Covenant Church, 17301 Statesville Road, Cornelius NC 28031.
