Mary Anne Wheat

Mary Anne Wheat, 83, of Charlotte passed away April 26, 2019 at her residence. She was born on March 22, 1936 in High Point, NC to the late Spencer and Nettie Holston.  She is also preceded in death by her sister, Belva Carey and brother, Billy Holston.  Mary was a member of Sunset Road Baptist Church.  She was a Mother to many of her family members.  Mary also loved bowling and was a member of the Gutter Dusters bowling team of Freedom Drive.  She loved going to the beach and was an avid UNC Tarheel Basketball fan.
Survivors include her husband, Thomas Wheat; children, Candi Wheat Lethcoe and husband John, Tommy Wheat, and Billy Wheat and wife Trudi; brother, Jimmy Holston and wife Jennie; three grandchildren, Shawn, Aaron, and Wyatt; and her best friend, Margie Ivester.
