Margaret K. Hale

Margaret K. Hale, 83, of Gastonia passed away June 2, 2017 at her residence while surrounded by family. Ms. Hale was born in Catawba County on June 23, 1933 to the late George and Martha Kirkland. She was also preceded in death by her husband Rodner “Buck” Hale and a brother Junior Poole. Margaret was known by her family and all the neighborhood friends as “Mom”. She loved her grandchildren especially but enjoyed her flowers, reading, puzzles and cooking. Survivors include her children George Hale, Annette Stanley and husband Alfred, Frances Reinhardt, Tina Hicks and husband Chris and also Joe Hale. Grandchildren Rodney Hale, Elizabeth Best and husband Brandon, Michael Reinhardt and wife Kristy, Sarah Hale, Joseph Hale, Curtis Lambert, Mark Stanley and Kevin Stanley. 23 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Funeral Services to celebrate her life will be held at 3:00 PM Wednesday June 7 at Benson Funeral Services in Mt. Holly. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery in Belmont. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 PM Tuesday June 6, also at the funeral home.
