In loving memory of Malinda M. Elwood, a compassionate caregiver known for helping countless individuals find their footing in life. Malinda, who adored her role as a mother and held family at the core of her being, passed away peacefully at her residence on April 22, 2024.

Born on June 17, 1955, in Charlotte, NC to the late Clyde and Ollie Miller, Malinda's love for the mountains blossomed alongside her appreciation for the vibrant changes that colored them so beautifully. Her nurturing spirit and unwavering dedication to those around her left an indelible mark on all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Malinda is survived by her loving husband of 28 years, Jimmy Elwood, who stood by her side through life's joys and challenges. She is also survived by her cherished daughter Amanda Brown, sister Nola Lewis and husband Jim, sister Phyllis Hendricks and husband Brent, as well as grandchildren Crystal Sell and husband Richard, James Simpson, and Nicolus Simpson and wife Deanna. Her memory will be treasured by her grandchildren whose lives she enriched beyond measure.

Malinda is predeceased by her daughter Crystal Ray and son Chris Miller. She is also preceded by nine siblings. 

Malinda's legacy of kindness, love, and dedication will live on in the hearts of those she touched throughout her remarkable life. May she rest in peace knowing that her impact on the world will continue to inspire kindness and compassion for years to come.

Rest easy, dear Malinda. Your presence will be greatly missed but your spirit will shine brightly in the memories of those who were fortunate enough to have known you.
