LORETTA JOANN KING

Loretta Joann Patterson King, 75, of Gastonia passed away January 7, 2016 at University Place in Charlotte. Ms. King was born in Gaston County on April 4, 1940 to the late Marvin and Virgie Haney Patterson. She was also preceded by her husband, Paul King, Sr., sons, Paul King, Jr., Marvin F. King and daughter, Beverly J. Parton. Her brother, Robert Patterson, Sr. and sister, Sandra Price. She was a member of Loray Baptist Church in Gastonia. 
Survivors include her children, Virginia Cheatham and husband Dwight, Paula Dube and husband Denis, Christina L. King and Fiance Armando and Randy King and Peggy. Niece, Kym Price; Nephews, Timothy Price and Robert Patterson Jr. 4 grandchildren, Jessie James Welch, Harley Reed Welch, Devon Parton and Diego Carrizales. 
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday January 14 at Loray Baptist Church, 1128 West Franklin Blvd., Gastonia with Rev. Dr. Kent Crawford officiating. Interment will follow in Armstrong City Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday January 13 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Benson Funeral Services in Mt. Holly. 
Pallbearers will be Randy King, Jessie Welch, Harley Welch, James Welch, Aedrell Williams and Joseph Dube`. Alternates will be Eugene Palmer and Diego Carrivales.
