Lisa Louise Pope Whitesides

Lisa Louise Pope Whitesides, 48, of Gastonia, passed away on Nov. 25, 2014 at her home while surrounded by her family. Mrs. Whitesides was born June 1, 1966 in Gaston County to the late Marvin and Kathy Hester Pope. She was employed with Sam's Club in Gastonia and was an avid Camper that enjoyed fishing, reading and the outdoors in general. She was a fun loving person and will be missed by all who knew her.

Funeral Services to celebrate her life will be 2:00 PM Saturday Nov. 29 at Springwood Church of God with Rev. Randy Sutherland officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery in Belmont. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 PM Friday at Benson Funeral Services in Mt. Holly.

Survivors include her loving husband of 22 years Darren Whitesides. Daughters, Mindy Pope and husband Bruce and Kristen Whitesides. Sister, Marvenia York and brother Marvin Pope, Jr. and also 5 grandchildren, Carleigh, Hunter, Elijah, Fischer and Colt.
