Linda Harrison Gibson

Linda Harrison Gibson, 75, of Stanley passed away May 23, 2023 at the Levine Dickson Hospice House in Huntersville.  She was born on June 8, 1947 to the late Lonnie and Gladys Baker Harrison.  In addition to her parents, Linda was also preceded in death by her son, Jody Gibson; stepfather, Paul A. McConnell; and brother, Tony Harrison.  She was a longtime active member of Westport Baptist Church where she loved serving the Lord by working in the nursery. She loved listening to gospel music especially the Gaither Family.  In her spare time, she was an avid reader, enjoyed trips to the beach and the mountains, especially with her grandchildren.  Linda was a caretaker whether it was taking care of her family or stray animals.

 
Survivors include her husband, Buddy Gibson; daughter, Tracie Mason and husband Kevin; son, Brian Paul Gibson; brother, Gary Harrison; grandchildren, Destaney and her Fiancé Jacob, Kayla, Blaze, Landon, Lena, Izick, and Zoe; and several nieces and nephews.

A Service to Celebrate Linda's Life will be held at 12 PM Saturday June 17th at Westport Baptist Church, 2372 Lake Shore Rd. S., Denver, NC with the Reverend Steve Owenby officiating. Receiving of friends will be at 11 AM, one hour prior. Interment will be held privately by the family.
