Lanny Jerome Williams

Lanny J. Williams, 66, of Monroe, NC went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday May 10, 2013 surrounded by his loving family at his residence. Mr. Williams was born October 14, 1946 in Monroe to RC Williams and the late Fannie Broome Williams. Lanny had previously worked as Service Manager for Southern Gas/PNG Gas Company before retiring and was a member of Solid Rock Baptist Church. He is also preceded in death by father-in-law, Harold Jones.

Survivors include his loving wife of 31 years, Debbie J. Williams. Son; Alan Helms (Amy). Daughter; Amy Williams Burris (Robbie). Father; RC 'Cedar" Williams. Brothers; Jimmy Williams (Judy) and Ricky Williams; Mother-in-law, Linda Jones and a granddaughter, Brittany Helms, all of Monroe and his special caregiver, Mrs. Jessie Laney.

Services to Celebrate Lanny's life will be held at 1:00 PM Monday May 13th at Solid Rock Baptist Church with Pastor Roger Nance officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeland Memorial Park Cemetery in Monroe. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Sunday, also at the church.
