Kristen "Cricket" Nicole Smith

Kristen "Cricket" Queen Smith, 36, of Dallas, passed away on Thursday, October 25, 2018 at Carolinas Medical Center, Charlotte. She was born in Gaston County, the daughter of Timothy James Queen and Catherine Jackson Queen. Kristen was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Jimmy Jackson, and her paternal grandparents, Montana Queen and James Queen. Kristen loved her children dearly and also fostered her two nieces, whom she also loved dearly. Kristen was a huge animal lover and never met a stranger. Her personality drew everyone to her. She was a beacon of light and a true inspiration to all who knew her. She went above and beyond to help anyone who was in need. Even in death, she saved four North Carolina residents by being an organ donor and providing them with much needed transplants.

In addition to her mother and father, Kristen is survived by her husband, David Smith; daughter, Madison Green; sons, Lucas Smith and Gage Smith; brother, Randy Queen; grandmother, Elaine Jackson; and biological mother, Rhonda Suzanne Cygan.

Memorial services will be scheduled at a later date by the Family.
