Judy Ann Stone

Judy Ann Deputy Stone, 68, of Gastonia passed away suddenly Nov. 11, 2016 at Caromont Regional Medical Center. Judy was born in Murphy, NC on January 19, 1948 to the late Carl Henry Deputy and Juanita Davis Deputy. She is preceded in death by her loving daughter Dawn Stone Moss. Her two brothers Fred and Jim Deputy and also two sisters Geneva Buchwacker and Katie Rathburn. Judy was the bright star of family gatherings. She cherished her grandchildren, loving to play board games with them. Loved the mountains, fishing, the flowers in her yard and enjoyed baking cakes. Her “smile” will be missed by all who knew her. Survivors include her loving husband of 42 years, Richard Stone. Children, Crystal Stone, Michael “Mike” Stone and wife Amy and Nikki Stone Warner and husband Slick. Six sisters, Freeda Moss, Betty Williamson, Marti Pappas, Mary Deputy, Ruth Loeb and Annette Neal. 11 grand and 4 great grandchildren and many friends including several very close special friends. Also her pet dog Abby which was her baby. Funeral Services to celebrate Judy’s life will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday Nov. 15 at Benson Funeral Services with Rev. Eric Lively officiating. Interment will follow in Gaston Memorial Park. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service
