Juanita Katherine Adams

Juanita Wilcox Adams, 75, of Gastonia passed away June 20, 2019 at Caromont Regional Medical Center.  She was born on August 27, 1943 to the late Porter and Lillie Grindstaff Wilcox.  She is also preceded in death by her husbands, Knox Adams and Glen Shepherd; son, Bobby Shepherd; brother, Thomas “Jr.” Wilcox; sisters, Thelma Williams, Berline Freeman, and Mary Blanton.  Juanita had a green thumb; especially with ferns and enjoyed flowers and gardening.  She also loved to go boating on the lake and enjoyed visiting the mountains.  Her family says she was blessed with a "gift of gab" and loved to talk.  She loved her family and friends but most of all Juanita loved the Lord.

Juanita is survived by her brother, Earl “Jack” Wilcox and wife Linda as well as many other friends and neighbors.

A Funeral service to celebrate Juanita’s life will be held Sunday, June 23, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. at Benson Funeral & Cremation Services, Mt. Holly with Rev. Buck Harper officiating.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.  Burial will immediately follow the service at Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery, Mt. Holly.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Lakeview Baptist Church, 143 Church St, McAdenville, NC 28101.
