Joseph “Joe” Michael Presto, 36, of Gastonia went to be with his Lord and Savior on April 4, 2018. Joe was born in Gaston County on June 28, 1981 to Kenneth Presto and Angela Cagle Goble. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Dorothy Presto and grandfather, Fred Cagle. Joe was an all-around great guy. He loved life as well as his friends and family. He was always a loyal friend. He was a real character to be around and made everyone happy. Joe loved spending time at the beach in the sand as well as spending time in the mountains in the snow. He spent a lot of time in Florida. He loved to travel and enjoyed fishing. Also in his spare time, Joe enjoyed basketball and was a Carolina Tarheels fan. Throughout his years, Joe became a very neat and organized person and loved when his car was detailed. Most importantly, Joe rededicated his life to the Lord in September 2017 and he lived his life for the Lord each day thereafter. He was a member of Elevation Church. He will be missed greatly by all that knew and loved him.
Joe leaves behind his father, Ken and step-mother, Parmella "Sissy" Presto; mother, Angela and step-father, Greg Goble; son, Cayson Michael Presto; fiancé, Heather Thomas; sister, Christina Presto; step-sister, Doris Caroline Foy; step-brother, Bradley Justin Goble; grandmother, Geanette Cagle; and niece, Alexi Dean.
A funeral service to celebrate Joe’s life will be held, Monday, April 9, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at First Assembly of God, 777 S Myrtle School Rd, Gastonia, NC 28052, with Revs. Dennis Boyce, Dickie Spargo, and Chris Guffey officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will immediately follow the service at Armstrong Cemetery in Gastonia.
