Jonathan "Hoop" Hooper

Jonathan “Hoop” Hooper, 30, of Gastonia passed away Friday June 9, 2017 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center from injuries sustained from a motorcycle accident. Hoop was born on February 5, 1987 in Gaston County to mother Tracy Robbins Hooper and father David “Pete” Hooper. He loved music, drawing and enjoyed doing mechanics on both motorcycles and cars. He was a total handyman with various projects and loved the beach as well as the mountains. In addition to his parents he is survived by daughters Kaydance and Shyanne. Sister Alicia Hooper Branch. Uncles, Harvey Robbins and wife Debbie and Doyel Robbins and wife Dana and an Aunt Tammie Knox and husband Steve. Memorial Services to celebrate Hoop’s Life will be held at 7:30 PM Wednesday June 14 at Benson Funeral Services in Mt. Holly with Rev. Sherman Branch officiating.
