Joan "Joanie" Kushinsky

Joan "Joanie" Kushinsky, 60, of Mount Holly passed away July 17, 2020 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia, NC.  Joanie was born on November 20, 1959 to the late Adolph and Verna Kushinsky in Marianna, Pa.  She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Joseph, Thomas, Vern, and John Kushinsky.  Joanie was a 36 year member at Liberty Baptist Church in Charlotte, NC where she was involved in the Bus Ministry, nursery and was a Sunday School helper.  She loved reading her Bible, loved owls and liked to draw.  Her biggest love was her grandchildren and her pet dogs. 

Funeral services to celebrate Joanie's life will be held Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at Liberty Baptist Church, 3600 Sam Wilson Rd., Charlotte with Dr. Gary Berry officiating.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.  Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Charlotte, NC. 

Survivors include her son, Tim Kushinsky (Amber) of Concord, NC; grandchildren, Chandler, Alyssa, and Landon; brother, David Kushinsky; and sisters, Mary Norris, Sereina Neil, Margaret Benson, and Florence Kushinsky.
