Jo Anne Severson Poe

Jo Anne Severson Poe, a beloved member of the community, passed away on June 9, 2024 at the age of 87, at the Wendover Hospice House in Shelby, NC. She was born in Detroit, MI on February 27, 1937, to the late Earl and Dorothy Severson.

Throughout her life, Jo Anne found joy in various hobbies and interests. She delighted in tending to her rose gardens, showcasing her creativity through crafting and crocheting, and cherishing the companionship of her beloved pet dogs.

Jo Anne is preceded in death by her loving husband, William "Buddy" Clarence Poe. She is survived by her son, Kenneth W. Poe, his wife Ellie, as well as nephews who were the sons of her late brother, James Severson.

Jo Anne will be remembered for her kind spirit, unwavering dedication to her family, and passion for nature and creativity. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. May she rest in peace knowing that she has left an indelible mark on the hearts of those she touched.

Services will be held privately by the family.
