Jerry Shelton Jr.

Jerry Shelton Jr., 50, of Goose Creek, SC passed away on September 15, 2021 at his residence.  He was born in Monroe, NC on August 26, 1971 to Jerry Shelton Sr. and Janet Helms Shelton.  Jerry was a U.S. Army Veteran, a former police officer with the Mint Hill Police Department, and was employed at Sea Fox Boat Company, Inc.  In his spare time, Jerry enjoyed golfing, tennis, and badminton. He loved to cook for people, going out to restaurants with family, friends, and co-workers. He was also a people person who was loved and respected by all.

In addition to his parents, Jerry is survived by his children, Chris Shelton, Timothy Shelton, and Kaitlyn Shelton; brother, Jimmy Shelton and wife Julie; sisters, Cindy Evans and husband Daniel and Becky Brazzill and husband Lee; granddaughter, Katherine Shelton; ex-wife, Danette Shelton; and ex-wife, Candice Jacobs and husband Shawn.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September, 23, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. at Mt. Calvary Church of the Living Light, 1418 Clarksville Campground Rd., Monroe, NC 28112 with Pastor Herb Strickland officiating.  Visitation will be held for two hours prior to the service from 10:00 a.m - 12:00 p.m.  Interment will immediately follow in the church cemetery.
