Jerry Brigman

Jerry Wayne Brigman, 80, of Rockingham, North Carolina went home to be with his Heavenly Father on Sunday, July 4, 2021. Jerry was born on July 11, 1940 in Rockingham, North Carolina to the late Frank and Pearl (Stein) Brigman.

Jerry graduated from Rohanen High School in 1959.  He retired from Sandhurst/Sara Lee Hosiery after more than 30 years of service.  After retirement, Jerry enjoyed traveling and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 54 years, Peggy Ann (Cash) Brigman; sisters, Bobbie Sue Long, Marlene Brigman, Faye Brice; and brother, Leon Brigman.

He is survived by a large and loving family; son, Jerry Wayne Brigman, Jr. (Chip) and his wife Susan of Rockingham; daughter, Kelly Renae Brigman-Tomczak, and her husband, Edward, of Mooresville, NC; sisters, Phyllis McDonald (Richard), Vickie Grant (Brent), and Sherri Brigman all of Rockingham; grandchildren, Matthew Quick (Joey), Tori, Sarah (Michael), Melissa, Dylan, Tripp, Carter and Maddy.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at Richmond County Memorial Park, 1717 E. Broad Avenue, Rockingham, NC 28379, with the Rev. Billy Reynolds officiating.
