Jennifer Gilliland Farmer

Jennifer Gilliland Farmer, 38, of the Springwood section of Gastonia went to walk with Jesus after a courageous battle with Leukemia February 23, 2014. She was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, daughter, aunt and friend. She was born in Gaston County February 2, 1976 to her parents Earl and Susie Reese Gilliland. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Granny and Grandpaw Reese and also Sed and Callie Gilliland.

In addition to her parents survivors include her husband of 15 years, Charles "Shorty" Alan Farmer. Children; Emily Brook Farmer and Elizabeth (Belle) Callie Farmer. Brothers and sisters; Barbara Mims (Darren Sr.), Lee Gilliland (Jackie), Steve Gilliland and Michael Gilliland and special In-Laws Dean and Alice Farmer.

Funeral Services will be at 4:00PM Thursday, Feb. 27 at Sharon Freewill Baptist Church, 410 Reese St, Gastonia with Rev. Odell Cook and Rev. Will McPeters officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00-4:00 PM Thursday and at other times at the home of Earl and Susie Gilliland.

In Lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to the Levine Cancer Institute, 1025 Morehead Medical Dr. Suite. 200, Charlotte, NC 28204.
