Jeffrey "Jeff" Broome

Jeffrey “Jeff” Broome, 56, of Belmont passed away July 7, 2016 at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill, SC. Jeff was born in Gaston County on April 19, 1960 to Jim Broome and the late Emma Lowe Broome. He was a member of East Baptist Church in Gastonia and loved animals.He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a member of the NRA. In addition to the mountains, his favorite place was the beach. He loved the Lord and read his bible regularly. His grandchildren and his pet dog Scobbie were his life. He was also preceded in death by his son Joseph “Joey” Broome.

In addition to his father, survivors include his wife Angie Hall Broome; Children, Emily Ann Broome, Miranda Nicole Dey (Bradley), Joshua Daniel Harris (Lacie) and Donnie Wayne Harris (Heather); Sister, Becky Lineberger (Mark); Brothers, Michael David Broome and Jimmy Lynn Broome. Jeff had 11 Grandchildren and 2 Great-grandchildren and his lifelong best friend Pastor Tim Parker.

Memorial Services to Celebrate Jeff’s life will be Friday, July 15, 2016 at 1:00 PM at East Baptist Church in Gastonia with Rev. Tim Parker officiating. Visitation will be at 12:30 prior to the service. Inurnment will be private.
