Janet Morris Auten

Janet Morris Auten, 77, passed away December 2, 2022 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center. She was born in Mecklenburg Co., August 23, 1945 to the late Lonnie and Atrice Huffstetler Morris.

Janet was a member of Centerview Baptist Church in Belmont.. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved gonig to the beach with all her girl friends.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents; husband Richard (Dickie) Auten, two sons, James and Ricky Auten; and one great grandson.

Surviors include a son, Mike Auten (Bobbie); daughter; Dana Auten; brother, Dane Morris (Brenda); Eight grandchildren; Twelve great grandchildren; Best friend; Cindy Mayes; and her Fur Ever friends, Bit and Toby.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, December 12, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. at Centerview Baptist Church in Belmont with Rev. Mark Costner officiating.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 4:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
