Heidi Dieckman

Heidi Camille Dieckman, 39, of Mount Holly, passed away on Friday, July 23, 2021, at CaroMont Regional. She was born on July 27, 1981, in Rutherfordton, the daughter of Sandra Vanopstal Dieckman, and the late James Norbert Dieckman. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Aaliyah Pope, and cousin, Julia Hagan.

Heidi loved listening to music, especially Hip-Hop from the 90’s, and early 2000’s, playing Spades, swimming, shopping, going to the drive inn, and spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoyed going to yard sales and “scavenger hunting” with her sisters and her children. Holidays were special to her, especially Valentine’s Day. Heidi was very caring and who would give you the shirt off her back. Above all, she loved her children and will be happy that she is reunited with her daughter, father, and cousin.

In addition to her mother, Heidi is survived by her longtime partner, Donte Pope, whom she loved dearly; children, Nevaeh Pope, Donovan Pope; siblings, Jessica Dieckman and her family, Michael Martin, Nikolas Martin, Michaela Martin, and Dakota Martin; Taylor Dieckman and her family, Dustin Hux, and Marshall Hux; Grandma Jeannie; aunt, Christine Hagan and husband, Doug; and her best friend, Charlie Goins.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 30, 2021, 6:00 P.M., at Benson Funeral & Cremation Service of Mount Holly, with Pastor Shannon Williams officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 6:00 P.M. prior to the service. Following the service friends and family are invited to a celebration of life at Heidi's late home, 230 Smith Road, Mount Holly.
