Hazel Aileen Craig

Hazel Aileen Walker Craig, 86, of Cramerton passed away March 22, 2022 at Accordius Health in Gastonia.  She was born on October 18, 1935 to the late John and Lola Walker.  She is also preceded in death by her husband, Roy Craig; her sons, Russell Wright and Charles Wright; brother, Junior Edwards; sister, Maxine Brown; son in law, Curt Meeler; and grandson, James Meeler Jr.  Hazel loved to watch old Western movies and was a HeeHaw fan.  She enjoyed sitting on her porch and watching the birds and squirrels.  She was retired from R.L. Stone in Belmont.

Survivors include her daughter, Joyce Meeler; sons, Cecil Wright (Debbie) and Michael Wright; 8 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren.

A Graveside service will be held on Friday, March 25, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Evergreen "A Quiet Place" Cemetery in Belmont with Pastor Kevin Ford officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the graveside service from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. in the Mausaleum.
