Gordon Combest

Gordon Ray Combest, 85, of Mt. Holly passed away on Thursday, November 18th, 2021 at his residence.  He was born on August 20th, 1936 to the late Norman Combest and Virginia Sloan.  He is also preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Nancy Combest.  Gordon was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Gastonia.  He enjoyed working around the yard and his horses.

Survivors include his son, Rick Combest and wife Meranda; daughter, Becki Butler and husband David; granddaughter, Christen Pederson and husband Tylor; great grandchildren, Emma Pederson and Olivia Pederson; and brothers, John Sloan and John Combest.

A Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at 1:30 p.m. at Grace Baptist Church, 2200 Auten Rd., Gastonia, NC 28054, with Rev. David MacEachern officiating.
