Gloria Ann Sims

Gloria Ann Sims, 83, of Mount Holly, passed away on January 23, 2020. She was born in Rock Hill, SC on December 26, 1936, the daughter of the late Raymond Butler Turney and Clinnie McGee Turney. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of fifty years, Marion K. Sims; son, Charles (Eddie) E. Moss, Jr.; siblings, Violet Jenkins, and Clarence Barber. Gloria had a heart as big as gold and would do anything for anyone. Her neighbors thought highly of her and said that she was an important part of the community. Gloria enjoyed to garden and loved and cared for her three feral cats, Cat (the mother), Big Spot, and Little Spot. She will be missed by her family and friends.

Gloria is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Dogan of High Point, NC; daughter and son-in-law, Lynn and Danny Brown of Gaffney, SC; grandchildren, Austin Harris and wife Anorine of Jacksonville, FL, Jessica Dogan and husband Mike of Archdale, NC, Mackenzie Dameron of Kings Mountain, NC; and niece, Glenda Craig and husband Roy of Medford, OR.
