Florida "Rascal" Elaine Wilson

Florida "Rascal" Elaine Wilson, 71, of Gastonia passed away February 4, 2018 at Saturn Nursing & Rehab in Charlotte.  She was born on December 11, 1946 in Lincoln County, NC to the late Grier W. Costner and Inez Fowler Costner.  She was also preceded in death by her two sons, Roger Wilson Jr. and Ronald Wilson; and two brothers, Allen and Dale Costner.  Florida loved her family, especially her granddaughter and great grandson.  She also loved her pet birds and her dogs and enjoyed the mountains and the beach.

Florida is survived by her daughters, Teresa W. Robinson and husband Dale and Tina Sawyer; sisters, Ewayne Blankenshipe and husband Dennis, Eraine Cooper and husband David; brothers, Grier Costner, Randy Costner and wife Maryann, and John Costner and wife Gail; granddaughter, Ashley Robinson; great grandson, Abel Robinson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Funeral service to celebrate Florida's life will be held Friday, February 9, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Benson Funeral Services, Mt. Holly.  Interment will immediately follow after the service at Hollywood Cemetery, Gastonia.  The Wilson family will receive friends and family from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., Thursday, February 8, 2018 at Benson Funeral Services, Mt. Holly.
