Felix Crowder Falls, 90, of Charlotte, passed away on February 22, 2024 at Asbury Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was born on March 8, 1933 in Bessemer City to the late Ruby Kincaid and Fred Homer Falls.  He was a loving husband to his wife of 71 years, Barbara, a loving father to his son, Mark, and a loving grandfather to his grandchildren, Meredith and Cameron Falls.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Richard Falls.

Mr. Falls attended Bessemer City Schools, Pfeiffer Jr. College, and graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, NC with a B.S. degree in accounting.  He spent his entire career with KPMG Peat Marwick in the Charlotte office.  He retired in 1991 as Managing Partner of Charlotte and for the Carolinas.

Mr. Falls was a previous member of Cokesbury UMC and was a current active member of Providence United Methodist Church and the Wesley Men's Class. He served on the Endowment Committee and the Church Council.

Mr. Falls served as Chair of Brevard College Board of Trustees and Aldersgate Retirement Community Board of Directors, the Mayor's Budget Advisory Committee for the City of Charlotte, Chair of the Accounting Alumni Council at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, Member of the Board of Directors and Treasurer of the Mecklenburg County Council of the Boy Scouts of America, and Treasurer of The Good Fellows Club of Charlotte.  Mr. Falls served in the United States Marine Air Wing during the Korean conflict. He was a member of the Quail Hollow Country Club in Charlotte and Hound Ears Club in Blowing Rock, NC for over 30 years.

After retirement, Mr. Falls enjoyed playing golf with his son, Mark at Hound Ears Club where they won several Member-Guest tournaments. He also enjoyed playing golf with members of their Couples Bridge Club.  Thursdays became a special golf day with members of Providence United Methodist Church and friends.

Mr. Falls is survived by his loving wife of 71 years, Barbara Bell Falls; son, Mark Falls and wife Roxie; sister, Jane Mizelle and husband Walter; grandchildren, Meredith Ann Falls and Cameron Frederick Falls; step-grandchildren, Melissa Harbour and husband Tucker, Adam Smith and wife Seannie, and Kayla Borkowski and husband Hunter; and one step-great-grandchild, Emeris Harbour; sister in law, Jane Falls; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial Services to Celebrate Mr. Falls life will be held Wednesday, February 28 at 2:00 PM at Providence United Methodist Church.
