Evelyn Brooks Foxx

Evelyn Brooks Foxx, 89, of Charlotte, passed away November 28, 2015 at Levine Dickson Hospice House in Huntersville. Ms. Foxx was born February 18, 1926 in Gaston County to the late Calvin and Mary Johnson Brooks. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Henry T. Foxx, daughter, Betty Jean Armstrong and a grandson, Larry Armstrong. She was the last of 10 children in her family. Ms. Foxx was a past member of Macedonia Baptist Church in Lucia, NC. She loved all her family, teaching them to fish, gardening, cooking and all the things she loved in life. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Survivors include her children, Jamie Foxx of Greensboro, Christopher Foxx of Charlotte and her daughter Kimberly Foxx, also of Charlotte. 5 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
Funeral Services to celebrate her life will be held at 12:00 PM Saturday December 5 at Benson Funeral Services, Mt. Holly with Reverend Russell Harrington officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Gardens in Mt. Holly. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service.
