Eileen Fay Rose

Eileen Fay Moran Rose, 86, of Charlotte, NC, died peacefully in her sleep surrounded by family, on August 14, 2024. After a long career, traveling the world, she retired from the Smithsonian Traveling Exhibition Service (SITES). She was an avid reader, loved her NY Times Crossword Puzzles, loved to travel, loved fine dining, loved her adorable doggies, loved her many friends, and above all, loved her family. Preceding Eileen in death were her loving husband of 25 years, Richard Sharp; her parents, Terence Moran and Mary Regan Moran; and her siblings Dr. Kathryn Moran, Ina Bailey, and Jack Moran. Also preceding her in death was her ex-husband and father of her children, Louis Rose. Surviving family members include her loving children, Noele Rose-Roth of Mt Holly, NC and Louis Rose (Lisa) of Arlington, VA, along with her precious grandchildren, Patrick Roth, Lauren Roth, Sydney Rose, and Bella Rose. Eileen will be remembered for her unwavering commitment to her family. She had an enormous and selfless heart, and a genuine kindness that made all those around her happy. She will be missed dearly.
