Effie Lee Miller

Effie Lee Miller, 80, of Mt. Holly passed away December 3, 2019 at her residence.  She was born on April 27, 1939 to the late Willie and Sarah Mudd.  She is also preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Joseph Thomas Miller, Sr. who recently also passed away in October 2019; 2 brothers; and 2 sisters.  Effie worked for over 20 years in the Mecklenburg County School System, mostly at Tuckaseegee Elementery, as an assistant teacher.  She was a longtime member of Mulberry Baptist Church where she was a member of the Believers Sunday School Class and she dearly loved her church family.  In her spare time, Effie enjoyed to cook.

Effie is survived by her son, Joseph Thomas Miller, Jr. and her brother, James Mudd.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 11, 2019, 11:00 A.M. at Mulberry Baptist Church. 6450 Tuckaseegee Road, Charlotte, NC 28214, with Reverend Dr. Larry Burns officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will be held by the family privately.
