Edward William Breese

Edward William Breese, Sr., 70, of Mt. Holly passed away peacefully on July 5, 2015 at his home. Ed was born to the late Thomas F. and Opal Dahn Breese. He is also preceded in death by his brothers, John and Robert Breese. He was a longtime active member of Queen of the Apostles Catholic Church in Belmont where he served on various committees including Family Life Chairman. Ed also served in the US Army and was 20 year owner and operator of The Sportery in Mt. Holly. He was Cub Scout Master at First Baptist Church of Mt. Holly, coached the Mt. Holly Celtics in Basketball, was assistant coach of Mt. Holly Lightning Soccer team, and was on the board of Pinewood School. He was also the past Manager of Wills Food Stores.

Survivors include his loving wife of 47 years, Janet Miller Breese. Children, Melissa Trulby, Amy Massey and husband Will, Ted Breese, Maryde Olech and husband Kevin and Christopher Breese and wife Heather. Grandchildren, Jackson, Gregory, Max and Lauren. Sister, Sandra Haywood and brothers, Thomas and Gary Breese.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Wednesday July 8 at Queen of Apostles Catholic Church with Father Frank Cancro, Officiant. Inurnment will be private.
