Doug's journey through life was marked by his unwavering dedication to his career as a barber, which he considered not just a job but a lifelong passion. For an impressive 75 years, he wielded his scissors with skill and precision, leaving behind a trail of well-groomed clientele and treasured friendships.
Doug's illustrious career as a barber was not without its extraordinary highlights. Whether it was basking in the serenity of the beach and mountains, pursuing his passion for hunting and fishing, crafting exquisite woodworking pieces like canes, walking sticks, clocks, and knives, or indulging in a round of golf, Doug lived life to the fullest.
A proud veteran who served in the U.S. Navy, Doug's commitment to his country mirrored the dedication he showed towards everything he held dear in life. He was also an avid collector of knives and took great pleasure in expanding his collection over the years.
