Donnie Albert Beck, 77, of Monroe was called home to his Heavenly home on March 5, 2021 at his residence. Donnie was born in Thomasville, NC on January 24, 1944 to the late Albert Lee Beck and Nellie Mae Pearson Beck. In his early years, Donnie was the President of the Debate Club at Thomasville High School. He was also in the golf club, the photography club, and International Relations Club. He was a lifeguard at Thomasville Swimming Club, part of the DeMolay Club, and Jaycee's Club. He enjoyed playing golf and flying model planes. He was employed in the art department at PTL. But most of all, Donnie loved Jesus and was a faithful Christian.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 58 years, Patsy Cash Beck; daughter, Sandi Leigh Beck; granddaughter, Britni Potthoff and husband Robert; great grandchildren, Brooklynn, Cash, and Waylon Potthoff; and a multitude of friends from all over.
A memorial service will be held on April 10, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Central Church, 5301 Sardis Rd., Charlotte, NC 28270, with Revs. Scott Corbin and Robert Potthoff officiating.
