Donald P. Miller, 80, of Mt. Holly, passed away on August 2, 2023, at Caromont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia. He was born on July 12, 1943, in Gaston County, NC to the late Willie Paul Miller and Ocie Perkins Miller. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Dan Miller and Gary Miller.

Donald was an incredible individual who left a lasting impact on all those who had the pleasure of knowing him. He was a true family man and his love for his loved ones knew no bounds. Throughout his life, Donald continuously showed his devotion to his family and cherished every moment spent with them. A U.S. Navy veteran, Donald served his country honorably and with great pride. His dedication to his military service was truly admirable and he carried that same level of commitment into every aspect of his life. Beyond his professional achievements of over 50 years in the printing industry and his military service, Donald had a variety of hobbies and interests that brought him joy and fulfillment. He had a passion for fishing and found solace in spending time by calm waters, appreciating the beauty of nature. Additionally, he was an avid fan of NASCAR racing and held a special admiration for the late legendary driver Dale Earnhardt. Watching sports on TV brought him immense pleasure, and he particularly enjoyed cheering for his favorite teams.

Donald's warm presence will be deeply missed by all who loved him. He is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Cleta Roberson Miller. 
In addition to Cleta, Donald is survived by his children, Timothy L. Miller and wife Karen, Christopher Paul Miller and fiance Jessica Farmer, Shebra Auten and husband Rusty, and Donna Thomas and husband David. Each child held a special place in Donald's heart.
Donald also leaves behind three sisters; Linda Hanna and husband Cliff, Paula Lane, and Cathy Wise; five grandchildren, Tyler, Trenton, Kristin, Stephen, and Whitney; and two great-grandchildren, William and Michael. Their presence brought immense joy to his life, and he adored watching them all grow.

Services will be held privately by the family.
